Video Blog: Modern Day Camping

I love being outdoors but camping is not really my cup of tea, especially if it’s about setting up tents and taking baths in the river. But for this weekend, our friends went to Mingle Farm for a night out to experience Modern Day Camping and we were so glad that we went!

The camping ground was nicely fenced up so that it was safe for the children to take walks on their own. They also had lots of activities on site to keep the children busy and I particularly liked their unconventional choices in accommodation that came with heated water and air-conditioning.

This place is around 30 mins by taxi from our home and it made it fun for large groups of friends to get together for a weekend. My boys totally enjoyed themselves and loved doing different things and exploring a new environment with their friends.

I’ve attached some pictures below for you to get a glimpse of how unique this experience was!

From your sun tanned parenting coach,

ps. If you live in Hong Kong and you’d like to check this place out, you can get more info at (Chinese Version)

We lived in a little ‘container’ home that came equipped with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living area, dining area, fully functioning kitchen, a nice patio and cooling/heating in each room (and in the toilets too). For a nominal fee, you can rent a bbq pit which you can set up to cook your dinner in.

The camp site has two lakes alongside a field which adds to the serenity of the site.

I’m not really into details when it comes to interior/exterior decor but these caught my eye…..check out their wash area! The camp site had a large common bathroom and toilets that was repurposed from a container and they had marble flooring!

I took this picture to juxtapose our (grounded) camp site to the towering apartments in the background. It was so nice to have so much space and easy access to nature for a night.

These are (what I call) Bubble tents because they are fully inflated and have different compartments to make the different ‘rooms’. These allow you to sleep in full view of the moon by night and bake in the sun by day (giggles). Comes fully air-conditioned!
