Book Review – Teaching children about how unique they are

Why this Father’s Day creates such conflict for me……

Last Sunday was Father’s Day. I opened up my Facebook newsfeed to find countless messages from my Facebook ‘friends’ to their fathers…..and those of wives to their husbands for being such amazing fathers.   I wish I could feel like they do…….in fact, I think I did once……but definitely not anymore.   Let me explain……my father wasn’t really there for me. Book Review: The Snowman (by Raymond Briggs)

This original classic story is a delightful addition to our Christmas reading list as it is a wordless book full of absolutely delightful illustrations. In this story, a little boy builds a snowman which comes alive and they become buddies before going on a magical flight in the air. Truly a great book for children to look at or as a bedtime story as it allows for the reader to be creative with the story line.
