1. Combine 1 cup water, 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, 1 tablespoon of cream of tartar, half cup of salt, and food coloring into a saucepan and heat until warm.
2. Remove pan from heat and add 1 cup of flour, stirring and kneading till smooth.
Note: This recipe lasts weeks if stored in a ziplock bag/airtight container and kept in the fridge.
